Chad Royer
Founder & CEO
Chad founded Canopy Group to create a long-term home for exceptional professional service businesses—one where people, client relationships, and long-term thinking remain the priorities.
Prior to launching Canopy, Chad was a Partner at Imperial Capital, a private equity firm with $3.5B in AUM. Over his 15 years in private equity, he helped build, acquire, and grow service-based companies across North America. He has been involved in hundreds of acquisitions and has twice served as CEO of service businesses.
Chad received an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of Arizona. He lives in Toronto, Canada, with his wife and two children.
